I think the head cropping was kind of bad at first, but then I realized it added more focus to the wild outfit.

Also, I don't really get the "punk" vibe. That's not what I see in it. It's probably the top. Plaid skirts are a bit of a punk scene staple, but combined with that yellow jacket, it's like something entirely new.
Might I ask about the post-processing you did?

So, what stuff did you do in photoshop? I sense there might have been some saturation adjustment, perhaps?

mostly I play with brightness and contrast, clarify and gamma correction.

I prefer the curve tool along with brightness and contrast myself, with the occasional Black and White adjustment (it adjusts each color base as a separate white or black, so you can totally play with the values).
