One more pic for the weekend (wow I was productive for once!).It's Omen, my shiny absol from my Pearl version! As you may be able to tell, he's jolly, which when you think about it is kind of sadistic for a disaster pokémon. He'd be like "HI THE WORLD'S ABOUT TO END ^____^".
Anyway, I was originally going to use solid shading, but I haven't done any soft shading for a while, so I figured why not. Also, this is the first time I've used coloured lineart (digitally, that is - I used to use it every now and again in traditional art). I'm not sure if I like the effect or not. Let's see if it catches on.

(Reminds me of Pikachu's Rescue Adventure when Snorlax is more interested in eating the apples than saving everyone from the storm. 
Good luck chaining an absol! The annoying thing about them is that you have to wait for them to swarm. As soon as I found out Absol was swarming that day, I rushed out and started chaining.
And ooh, sounds like you have some cool shinies. *Wants a shiny furret someday.*

I always thought it would make more sense if certain pokemon were more likely to be certain natures. Like, Slaking would be likely to be relaxed and unlikely to be hasty, and so on. But oh well!

Cool! Before the Pokeradar method in DP, the only shiny I ever found was a golbat on Ruby.

hehe, i've had shiny pokemon on Firered, Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond lol, in fact in those games i usually had a shiny before i got 3 badges, in Firered was a once in a lifetime thing tho, just when i was starting to catch pokemon, and first pidgey i found was a shiney lol, its was crazy XD

The background was really just me applying random effects in Photoshop till I found something that looked OK. O_o I started with just a solid grey colour, then I got a large soft brush, made it semi-transparent (I think about 50%) and just coloured randomly in pinkish brownish colours to make a kind of cloud look. Then I applied a few of Photoshop's filters . . . I can't remember the names of them, and the computer I'm on at the moment doesn't have Photoshop so I'll have to check later. I think it was one from the Sketch menu and one from Artistic. They basically converted the lightest parts of the "clouds" to those swirly things you see here.
Anyway then I decided I didn't like the colours, because the pinkish browns clashed too much with the absol's colours, so I went to Image - Adjustments - Colour Levels (I think that's what it's called) and changed the levels till I found a better colour. I figured blue looked best because it matched the eyes.
And that's it! Sorry I can't provide any actual secrets other than "just keep trying things till it looks good O_o".

Oh my, Melee this is awesome! I wish i had a shiny absol. theyre one of my top favourite pokemon. <3 the shading looks -very- nice buddy, especially on the white/light pink fur.

Absol is one of my top favourites too, so when it was swarming I was like "MUST GET SHINY" and spent . . . I don't even want to know how many hours . . . chaining them with Pokeradar.
