This painting evolved from a completely different sketch, and I was planning to paint it as a quick gift for a sad friend. Instead, it's taken me two weeks and too many headaches, so I'm uploading it so that I will stop repainting it!

It's hard to see this small, I know, but the object hanging from the moon is a red dice. Enjoy!

Copyright is 2007 by MelissaDawn. I do not threaten with dragons or beasts, but much worse... my fiance is a lawyer!

I like this one too It's a very beautiful painting, but like I've commented on your other artwork, your colors are too isolated. The rose is just purely white, and it should have a bit of red and black in it too. And really, you should have some black in her skin and hair also because that's your background color. That way, she won't look so 'seperate' from her surroundings.

Thanks for your comments There actually are other colors like red and black in the skin, rose, etc, it's just nearly impossible to see when the painting's so small on here!

Oh, and I loved the butterfly detail you submitted... I've rarely seen one that looks so beautiful yet realistic. I'm really excited to see the finished piece! And more WIPs of it of course

I was excited to do any of the themes cuz they all rocked... I FiNALLY finished midterms today, so I will be painting a ton for the next month. How are you doing? Anything exciting lately?

Well here we don't have exams in some perios that ends, we have them all the time, whenever teachers think...and right now, all of them seem to made a deal to give us all the exams for the next week Thanks for your wishes, that'll surely help me

I'm fine, just relaxing now that school's on a lull... hopefully this week will be quiet and I'll get lots of painting done. I'm just amazed at how fast this year is going by already!

Well we already had a spring break in February (it's weird, I know...) Oh yes, I'm also surprised it's already March and I still haven't fully realized I'm not in the primary school anymore. On the other side I feel like I've been in this class with the people always...

Oh no problem hun, it seems like it's one of the busiest times of the year right now, so everyone's behind on everything-- myself included! And I don't have a fab club to run Did you find someone who can help out? I would have offered but you had so many people volunteer I figured you didn't need more people to choose from!

Lol it is weird your spring break was so early... so is it a good thing you feel like you've been with those people forever, or a bad? You have a great weekend too, hope it's not too busy!!!

Thankies!!! I'm so happy it's getting good feedback... I seriously considered quitting it more than a few times. The rose was my fave to paint I think. So thanks hun!

Mwahaha.... I'm not poking fun at you per se, I've just started to do pieces I REALLY don't want stolen, so I thought adding a warning like a lot of you do would be good... and I just figured, don't you think a lawyer could take your dragon??? Ugh all the teachers & admin at his school are nasty pieces of work... enough to make anyone run away!
