Description
The angel of "speak no evil"...... and my first real "portrait" piece. I may tweak this over the next few days if it needs it, but gosh I hope it doesn't! I've repainted the wings 8 times in the last two days because the colors are showing up differently in and out of Photoshop. So please let me know if they look too dark or light to you!
Done in Photoshop CS2 on a tablet, though I ended up painting the wings in Painter X. Now I love Painter, and my next painting will hopefully be 100% Painter. No real references, though I glanced at a few photos of myself for the eye. Thanks to Kat for WIP feedback

Since you asked: it does look kinda dark on my screen, but it doesn't bug me too much because it makes the butterflies stand out.

The feathers turned out great. Nice detailing.
Only comment/critique I can give is that maybe the face under the hair might need to be a tad darker. Near the nose. Not much...but just a bit.

It is so hard to adjust the lights and darks sometimes...it all depends on the software you are using and your monitor, along with everyone elses monitors. Before getting this new one everything was a bit dark - at least on my PC/home monitor...and then lighter at work on my Mac monitor...so....as long as it looks good to you and prints out like you want it to...then you have achieved what you aimed to achieve.

Things are fine here, just taking summer school and trying to really get some paintings done... the big thing is waiting to find out where my fiance gets to transfer law schools to, so we know where we're moving in a month!

well im working for the family business, we call it that cause the entire familes working for the security company my dad joined years back. Im getting a bit more then minimum wage and 50$ on sundays to monitor the screens (( which im doing at this moment ^^ ))
Where are you hoping youll move? and summer school sounds icky even at this age x3 but I have no doubt its a worthwhile investment, harder work means bigger rewards usualy ^^

Very cool! Working security was acutally my favorite job I've ever had. I loved watching the cameras, it's totally getting paid to sit and think 
Lol yeah summer school is okay since I've only got one class and it's on genealogy research, so it's pretty interesting. Turns out we may be moving to Oregon, which would be awesome. Lots of wide open spaces and nature to inspire me!
