CHALLENGE
I think I've commented most of your pieces at EW before finding you were here, so tha's why I've not commented at DA. But this peice has depth, mistery, charm, magic, danger. I love the litlle ammount of colors you used.

Challenge:
I chose this piece over 'Quick Silver' (which I love, he's got that come hither look) because I love the intensity in the scene. She looks so alert and tense, I can almost here the eerie silence of the forest as she slows her breath. The undefined shapes in the background which then reveal the sillouette of the little creature with the scary eyes is just perfect.
I just love it, and I'm slightly embarassed that I hadn't favourited it before...

how anyone could ever make something like this is beyond me, but how it's possible to do it in 6½ hours is downright crazy

I have the flu and am heavily medicated.
I have not left my apartment in almost 48 hours.
I have not left my bed except to get more medicine, go to the bathroom, and find pants in the last 18 hours.
I left the bag of miniature chocolate bars within easy reach of the bed, and have been consuming these whenever I have hunger pangs, which means I'm fueled almost entirely by sugar, warm ginger ale, and cold medicine.
I also, apparently, slept on top of a miniature chocolate bar and am too lazy to change shirts now.
I started this at 10 am, hoping my sinuses would clear up so I could *do* something.
No luck.

Oooo...it kinda makes me shudder. The background definitely fits the mood of the piece. I wouldn't want to be in the elf girl's shoes (er, boots). Nicely done.
