hello, for your settings panel, with the wifi, 3g data, etc, how did you line up the widgetsoid icons up with the word bubbles? Also, how do you show phone calls, sms unread, emails, etc, in Minimalistic Text?

1. widgetzoid and the bubbles was trial and error. I just moved the bubbles around on the wallpaper until they lines up.
2. The missed stuff is Missed It!, not minimalistic text - just uses the same settings for font, etc. As min text. Hope this helps

thanks! hmm... what size grid did you set for it? 10x9? also, which launcher? adw, lpp, go? i would like to try go, but you can't fully remove the dock in it, like, you can, but the grid doesn't extend all the way down to the bottom of the screen.

I used adw ex, no dock, no notification bar. I'm pretty sure it was a 6 column 10 row setup

hello, how did you make the backgrounds behind the battery panel, or the radio/music panel, etc? I would be using Inkscape, is there like an easy way, rather than drawing a bunch of triangles, is there a way to get it to happen, locking it to a circle, etc? what is that anime style of backgrounds called?

question, for the backgrounds that you have for the Battery Life, or in the Radio/Music Panel, did you create those custom or find that somewhere? any hints on how create them, etc? i am going to use Inkscape, an open source Illustrator, basically. Rather than drawing triangles, is there some kind of tool, etc, to get them uniform in a circle? Thanks!

I made all the backgrounds - for the battery one, I believe that was a simple paintbrush on the top layer in the shape of a ray, and then I did a halftone effect to it - most of it was done in GIMP for this one. Inkscape probably has the same effect or better. Here's a tut

so you create the wallpaper and then you put blank icons on top, right? or is each panel a desktop visualizer thing? i guess not... since you have minimalistic text on top of some of them... i the word bubbles.

thanks so very much! if you follow the link to the blog, the walls I used are in a download. Yes, I did everything on the wallpaper, and just applied transparent or minimalistic text bubbles on top. And I agree - when someone asks me what android can do that ios can't, I show them this

Thanks very much! I'd say most of the time went into finding suitable images/photographs to put through tracing/contour/comic steps in Gimp. Coloring and editing didn't seem to take so long. I enjoyed the process, since it taught me to be familiar with GIMP's UI, and it was a lot of fun. I think I spent the sum of my spare time over the course of a week and a half- by far the most time I've spend on an android setup. Thanks for commenting, MP
