This is the scene in 'trough the looking glass' where the Queen puts a plaster on her finger before she has pricked it, and Alice helps her with her scarf

This is part of an 'Alice's adventures underground' series I am working on. I tried to choose non-cliche moments, but I might put in your run-of-the-mill teaparty and a chesire cat, just because it wouldn't feel complete otherwise

One of the reader's accents is reallly strong though and very grating. I wonder why these people volunteer when they have cripplingly strong accents and not native speakers.. its takes a lot away from the text. I could barely understand the Humpty Dumpty chapter.

You should get 'the annotated' alice - it has all sorts of interesting footnotes on the origin of for instance, 'the cheshire cat'

Unfortunately all the puns and word-jokes would be lost in a translation of Alice! It really should be read in english.. its just a book about language games that wouldn't cross the channel methinks.

I agree, but we have pretty good translation of the "Alice in Wonderland" standard version, so I think it can still make it for this book too. It would be a pity to deprive non English spoken people of discovering the world of Alice

To me, Alice is less about the world than about the WORD if you know what I mean...
And yes of course, I am glad there are translations.. but to those who have the luxury of knowing english, I cannot but advise them to read the original.
I am sure you will find an annotated version in french too though.. it is a classic

This is absolutely gorgeous and totally and utterly cute! I love the style you used on this and the fact that you're picking lesser known scenes and as I said, oh my goodness the cuteness is wonderful!
