Blue Widow 
Anyway, this is lovely. I like the very sweet, pleasant face, she doesn't look like a master assassin - which is good because surely a master assassin should not look like a master assassin.
I just hope her feet don't get cold

Yeah, that's happened a lot in comics. One artist/colourist uses the blue highlights to add form to black in outfits, and the next person working on them just treats it as blue outright. And so it evolves into this being the de-facto look.
In fact supposedly Spider-man's regular costume went through this early on, with it first being intended to be Red and Black. Similarly the 80es Fantastic Four outfits were supposed to be black and white, but gradually transitioned into a navy blue/white combination.
Having said all that, Natasha looks great like this. So it's nice to see this look realised again...

I had wondered if that might happen sometimes. Even for an amateur like me highlighting black is a pain and it's one of the areas where I really envy digital artists - when I try to show highlights on black leather or latex it often just looks like stripes, but too much blue and, as you say, it looks like the outfit is actually blue.
But then you could end up with a happy accident where the blue works better.

I must admit the Fantastic Four and Spiderman examples are ones where I think they did get better. But as it morpheus-cf points out, it can be really bad too.

My least favorite example of this happened to Batgirl. She started out with black tights with grey highlights that eventually morphed into solid grey tights. Ugh.
DC actually monetized this horrific coloring fail when their merch division released the deluxe action figures over a decade ago. A case contained five with grey tights and one limited-edition variant with black tights.
