I've got a new obsession: Kuragehime. It's been so long since a series piqued my interest so much.
Also, as one can see, I'm a Tsukimi-Shuu cheerleader. Sure, Shuu's a bit shallow and Kuranosuke's the lead male (note: drag queen), but I'm rooting for the 30-something virgin.
Also, EXPLOSIVE NOSEBLEEDS. It must be true love, right?

Recently got into this anime/manga, and am drowning in all the feels... just; all forever...
And I am so so so desperate for these two to be together. They are just so freaking adorable together, and I think would be one of those super sweet diebetus inducing couples. I want the underdog to get the girl; for freaking once! I mean; they have mutual feels for one another, for crimeny's sake!
And he totally thinks her cute/beautiful no matter how she's looking on any given day.
Anywho; I adore this picture. There are not enough arts for this couple; but the few that exist have been all just wonderfully drawn. This is hands down fantastic and really captures the theme between these two. Just wanted to give my love for this. <3

This is gorgeous! Is it colored pencil? Ink? Maybe a combination of the two? I love the texture, and your drawing style is so sweet - I just love the contrast of her dress with the surroundings. And the jellies! Oh, they are fantastic and my inner biology nerd is pleased. ^_^
I ship these two so much! (ESPECIALLY after reading the manga! They are so adorable and I am breaking my own fingers trying to hold back the spoilers aaaaaaaugh)

I love this they are so sweet together especially when they completely over react to each other and thinks the other hates them. The image looks beautiful and the dress is perfect for the show. By the Way what did you use to achieve the white detailing on the water colour as my ink just blends.

Such a cute work of art! I'm already a huge Tsukimi-Shu fan, but this only fans the flames. I mean, how can you not root for the thirty-year-old virgin with glasses?
Also, if you read the manga Shu isn't nearly so shallow as he appears.

I'm a huge anime Fan but lately all the animes I've watch started to make me draft from anime D: Animes like Samurai Girls,High school of the dead,Higurashi,and many more,They didn't have any real emotion or plot (plus what was with the boobs o.o?) But Thank to Kuragehime it has made me love anime once again

Beautiful stuff--I'm so glad you're drawing for this series.
One of the things I love about this series (which I blitzed in two days this week) is the way it presents both hypotenuses of the love triangle as flawed but ultimately good-hearted people. Tsukimi could end up with either brother and I would be happy, which is rare with fictional triangles. I admit to being charmed by Kuranosuke's happy enthusiasm and resemblance to Howell Jenkins, but he's also flighty and irresponsible; and Shuu's arrogance and occasional coldness are balanced by his genuine good intentions and quiet, dependable spirit. How rare!
(I just deeply hope that, if a sequel is made, they don't pair Shuu up with Ms. Inari. After what she did to that poor man, she deserves a lawsuit, not a sweetheart.)

Ah, almost forgot. I first inked the pencil lines and background with Kooh-I-Noor Rapidraw ink, and then I used white watercolor to paint the jellies and other white details. I'm not sure if this paint counts as gouache or just thicker watercolor, but it worked out great.

Thanks for the great commentary. I agree wholeheartedly about Kuragehime - It has so many little facets, and one of my favorite of those is the realistic portrayal of the main 3 characters. I'd be happy with either guy (and Kurapyon DOES look like Howell! Woah!), but I'm holding out for Tsuki-Shuu.
Words cannot describe how much I wanted to strangle Inari. I hope she ends up with Hanamori (it would be hilarious!), but she'd best leave Shuu alone!
