Description
Two small settlements, one Czech, and one Korean were established on opposing sides of an inland sea, now the heart of the Federation. The fledgling hamlets faced continued hardships, a hostile environment, low supplies, and raids from other villages and larger settlements. Compounding the raids, and lack of supplies were disputes and skirmishes (often due to miscommunication) between the colonists. Facing starvation both groups would independently resort to genetic engineering and later, peace. Cooperation was slow at first, beginning with sharing resources, expertise, and personnel; soon trade routes were established not only between each other but with other communities through the region and the coastline. This was the birth of the Sirius Federation (albeit with a name forgotten to history), the increase in supplies, manpower, and trade allowed for rapid colonization and expansion across the planet's surface.

The initial response to the Siriusian blueish skin tones was one of confusion or hostility, many of their fellow colonials often mistook them for native-life rather than fellow humans. Yet eventually, as life only got harder and more died from cancer, or other deleterious effects of sustained UV exposure every Siriusian would undergo the same genetic shift as those from the two hamlets had. Siriusians are easily identified by their anomalous blueish (silvery) skin color (when compared to other humans including those with genetically engineered traits), with their respective colors being more pronounced depending on melanin content, UV exposure, altitude, and location. Their skin color alongside greater resistance to radiation, tougher cell membranes, and resilience to extreme temperatures (higher rather than lower), have allowed them to adopt to settlement of worlds orbiting blue stars.
