Description G1 Soundwave

Every now and then I like to draw a Transformer, and now it's Soundwave's turn. This is based on his 1980's box art. Those G1 Transformer toys were pretty basic really, but they had the best boxart. The original is here [link]

This is my favourite of the Transformers I've posted here. I spent way too long on the details, so please fullview for the full effect

You made my day/night dude!

As i suffer from a kind of insomnia in my late hours i'm always on da. For 12 years back i was involved in an terrible accident wich made it so that i can't remember my childhood years no more...
very sadly i know, but it was so i practicly dreamd, sang and breathed Transformers, liked it even over lego!! according to my mum...
Specialists used my entire collection of Transformers trying to bring me back my years of growing uptill the accident..
I somehow used to always know when there where garage sales and second-hand markets everywhere, started naggin'and then my folks took me there, scavenging, for secondibots!
Thru the years i collected somefine amound of new and secondhand ones.....

Thru your link i looked up(yeaH still got each one of them) my collection and i seem to own every single Poster with new bots 4 each year diplayed on this site..unbelievable!
And on the go some new things came back to me, iwrotethem and willconfront my folks withit.

Thank you, he's right up there on my list, too. Also he's never been updated properly, like every series has it's Prime, Megatron, Starscream etc, there's rarely a decent Soundwave

I thought the design was pretty much what I expected in a movie-verse Ravage, I just thought he should have transformed into something distinct At least he was a spy for Soundwave, which is G1 accurate

Looking at the design again after I watched it once more, there's a bit of a canine influence, like a big mechanical wolf (the way he prowls is kinda lupine-esque and the spikes on his back acting like shaggy fur?). Yeah, I'm glad he had connections to Soundwave, too- still disappointed on how they handled and presented Arcee, though
