Give or take, that is the estimate. But they just took some picture of Amur Leopards in China. That is good news. The biggest problem will be DNA if they recover. (

I am indeed inspired by your work and I can not thank you enough for doing this. Spreading the awareness is really good. Maybe you should add a link to the World Wildlife Fund's homepage so people can donate money to save the Amur leopard. Its important to save the remaining of these beautiful creatures.

Hi! and I are making a video about the endangered cheetah and amur leopard for the groups #the-cheetah-archive and #Save-theAmur-Leopard . I was wondering if we could use your art in the video. You would be credited in the video by your deviantart name, if that is ok with you.
Thanks!

Too small of a population for any kind of long-term survival, I'm afraid. The only chance to preserve its genes may be crossing it back into other leopard populations at this point. :S

Very true, the problem here is the genetic material, if there are Amur leopards in captive somewhere around the world thy should go get them and start a captive breeding program. otherwise yes it hard to see a long term survival. But if the White Rhino and the Arabia Oryx could do it. these guys can. The other problem is human encroachment of their lands.

thnak you for your comment

there are captive amur leopards (but many have been crossed with other leopard subspecies) in zoos as well as rather succesfull captive program

In the United Arab Emirates they have a center where they have captive Arabian Leopards also critically endangered but thos ar enot mixed as far as I know. The other thing is their prey they need more of it too.
Thanks for the note.

Thank you. It takes a lot of hard work but it's worth it. Animals can;t do it and greedy people are just too dumb to realize what they are doing or they just don't care.

thanks

yeah, I know about it, I even supported the campaign which tries to rescue them
it's all very, very terrible; how cruel monster it's needed to be to kill a poor creature just for such vain needs ;/ I'd personally skin all hunters
