Description
When the dust had settled after the Frederiksberg show and all the hype and excitement had turned into hunger for next coming events Al had a proposal to Sam.
Come to MS to get some dressage skills polished for the up and coming (and not even a chance in the world to miss) The Imperial Winter Dressage that had returned.

Sam was a pretty alright dressage rider. He had after all Maja to compete from time to time but his skills only came so far as to ride up to St George, which was a stretch even for his standards. But maybe it was fair? Matteo was after all a dressage rider from the start which he had transformed to a lill showjumper with his best nanny Saba. So why not return the favor ala Alexa? She would see to it herself to train him and Matt for the Pas de Deux class where both could be at the same level and compete together as a team again.

So a training camp pit-stop at Mercury Stables was in order. Sam didn't exactly say 'no' to start the routine on his favorite gray, Yuu. She seemed to enjoy the routine they had started to knit together and maybe it was a shame to switch horses as soon as he was back to Imperials, but it was after all for the best to spare the travels back and forth for Maja.

Amongst all the training Sam also got to know the MS team a bit more. Granted he had chatted with them at shows and other gatherings before but this time he actually got to spend some more quality time with them all. Some more than others. Especially the one who Matt talks about to him the most when he is at Imperials.
Tess always comes up in Matt's stories around the stable life at MS and all the shenanigans the duo manages to get roped into, and granted, it already felt like he knew her before actually knowing her. He quickly found out that he really loved her company and the quality humor she brought to the table. It was never really a dull moment with her and Matt coming up with stunts left and right.
Needless to say, they managed to get along preeeeetty well.
