I like both but I particularly like the birch. There were so many birch where I grew up. I enjoyed finding a dead tree, left standing only because the tough outer bark held the decayed interior together.

That one is actually the one I like best of the pair, too. Birch actaully *don't* grow in abundance around here, and I was always fascinated with the one my grandmother had in her yard - it was so different from the other trees!  Thanks, Garilos!
