Hey Menton3! maybe i sent you a message already but... . hope it wont bother you if i did sent multiples.
I recently bought a copy of a comic book with your art in it. I am alos trying to be an illustrator (if you, by any chance, take a look at my stuff on DA know that i've gotten better).
So I have a question: do you have reference photographs? Or do you just have it all in you head? If you do have reference pictures, do you take them yourself or do you google stuff and pick what you like?

I have to say both, about 50/50 depends on story, character etc etc. I think photo reference is fine as long as that is not all you can do and you do not use it as a crutch.
