Recently, I've told this to one of my close friend: I use so much color to express even the most sombre things/subjects. This maybe lightens the meaning or at least a choice to lighten what it meant to me.. that's what I said to my friend.
Still it's worth thinking on it...

Do you know my friend ? I admire his paintings greatly. And I feel that his very white paintings give a sense of tragedy. And I sometimes feel so good with dark shades...It depends really of what you put yourself in it, not of conventionnal views about colors.

This is quite heartbreaking and I'm reading a lot into it.The house,the leaf that's split,and the marks at the back of the house,they are like markers for marking off days or weeks.It's a wonderful painting that draws you in,and makes you question exactly where you are.Fantastic!!!
