Description
The American robin isn't as colorful as the European ones, and really look nothing alike. Though many robins will persevere in winter conditions, they are migratory in some parts of the states and the return of the robin (for many states) is thought to be a sign of spring returning. This was shot, however, on a cold, snowy day in February. But robins tend to stay around here in much of Kansas through the winter, as they appear to be a pretty hardy species.
