Alright, first critique I've ever given, so lets hope this doesn't turn into a mess. :V
First off, I really like the colors you use to help highlight. The red and blue give it this kind of mysterious look, which fits Claydol since it's supposed to be a pokemon created from some kind of ancient civilization.
The background is really nice too. It helps bring out the colors you used, without distracting from the subject of your picture.
I also like how Claydol is being viewed just a bit from the top. You did a good job with the perspective, since it makes it interesting to look at.
For improvement, I'd suggest making the top right corner of the background a bit more like the lower left corner. The larger amount of bright blue in the top right looks just a tad harsh, so perhaps try and get it to blend with the middle a bit more.
Overall it's a really pretty pic. I don't really care much for Claydol since it just looks boring to me, but the perspective, colors, and highlights you used make the picture intriguing to look at. :3
