Description Some people call this a "fairy dragon". I just couldn't decide if I wanted to draw a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly or a dragon, so I did both.

I saw the title 'Dragonfly' and expected there to be a dragonfly there. I laughed once I saw ths. Your creativity amazes me. That aside, I love the colours. They blend perfectly together.

very crisp and clean! would make a good tattoo ^_^

you know, to do tattoos you dont have to actually put them on the person, I have designed several for people and they choose another experienced/competent artist to do a copy/rendition of it.

Pretty, I have everyone trying to draw dragons based on that butterfly for my group this month, hehehe. Supposed to be doing one myself but the thought of trying to get the wings right scares me.

I use butterfly field guides for all my butterfly wings...nature comes up with prettier patterns than we could ever imagine on our own.

Yeah, I like tree frog patterns best myself, I've drawn quite a few dragons based on their colours.

Thanks! Deep love for Prismacolor pencils that goes way back to childhood...they're still my go-to choice for coloring concept sketches.
