Description The Marienkirche in Reutlingen through the new MEIKE 6,5mm Fisheye lens. I just started to make pictures with a fisheye, so i'd like to ask you, how i can improve my technique and skills with such lenses.

Fantastic shot! I feel using the fisheye lens was a great choice for this shot. I don't have any experience using them so I can't give any tips, but it looks like you are using it properly.

Thank you. Meanwhile I learned a bit more about this fisheye and improved my skills to use it properly.
It is a lens that requires a little bit of knowledge to be used in the right way, 'cause it is fully manual but i like it.

Over all a nice photo.
You have to be very careful with the framing, check all the way around that you have or don't have things in the photo. I like how you just have the table in on the bottom left, I think the house that creeps in at the top right should be out (kind of hard to do at times with a fixed focal length lens).
And the one thing that my wife complains about my fisheye photos is the bright frame around caused by the light reflected off the inside of the lens.  You should dark that in post production as it keeps drawing the eye away from the main subject.
When placing people or animals in the photo think about how you want them to appear as they will be distorted (big nose, short legs, looking fat etc)

It is quite hard, to keep things out with the 190° FOV. But as any other part of photography i have to train myself.

Good point with the circular frame. It not in any situation, but maybe a reduction of the effect may help.

And i will remeber the distortion. It is a very interessting effect and i think it can create crazy pictures if used the right way.

Yes it is not easy, that's why I have a fish eye adapter lens that I attach to my wide angle zoom; of course I lose a lot of light doing it.

Some nice well framed fish eye photos in your latest ones.

Maybe I should get a proper one as well (though the question would be whether to get one for the Nikon or the Olumpus camera...)

Here in germany you pay around 150€ for the MEIKE Lens. Not really expensive. And the lens is made for APS-C Sensors. So maybe this helps you a little bit with a choice
