Description watercolors on watercolor paper.
applied entirely with palette knives and not a drop of water.
(this is an excellent way to use up your expensive paint quickly, hahahah!) the little bity tubes of artist's quality watercolors i use are about $10 a tube, so when i squeeze out half the tube to make something like this, i say, ok, that's $5!! ok, that's $2! pffft... not the best way to look at it! LOL

i've been really depressed and this is the second day life looks worthwhile and i have a strong desire to paint. it's a treat!

thanks a lot!vibrant is a wonderful work that i'm going to start using now, because i feel that way about all my work, and that's what i try to convey to the use. i have an awesome time making up names. lol! my best was a horror vaci drawing that took me days and days to draw and several pens ran out by the time i was finished, so i called it--
"the pen killer" hahah! thanks again!

Wonderful! Those are watercolors? o.o Lol I've only worked with cheap ones so far, never the tube kind. I'm really digging the textures in this!

I've never seen watercolors used this way. I really like the textures, colors, and composition in this piece.

Wow, these are watercolours?! I was sure they were acrylics, before I read your description. This looks very explosive. The orange seems to say you're taking a new turn, and shedding something. A new start, perhaps. It's so good to hear you're feeling like painting again.

very good interpretation!

it's pretty amazing to me also, when i look at it to put it in groups, i often have to double check to make sure i'm not confused and it's actually acrylic! but i remember painting it with watercolors!

it's fantastic to paint again. i'm feeling pretty down today, but i painted as soon as i got up and didn't really want to do, but it was the only thing i could think that i could do (that wasn't self-destructive) to avoid totally flipping out. it helped. a lot. how are you feeling?

Very bold using watercolour in this way. I admire your courage. I am way too precious with my materials...
Keep that energy flowing!

thanks so much! i always try to do things "the wrong way" and usually feel like if i use it the accepted way, i've sold out somehow. i've never been trained but i love to experiment! i've learned a lot, but at first i used to just go to the art store and buy whatever struck my fancy, often not even knowing what it was and take it home and try to find an interesting way to use it! sometimes i feel that way about my materials, but i tell myself, why did you buy that paint? how is it helping if it just stays in the tube? i don't have to buy more, but i also don't get to do the art i really want to do.
