Well, one more month had passed. Viktoria was becoming almost curious as to what was next. It was a good thing people understood about her monthly sickness (assuming it to be something of the women's problem variety). It was that day of the month again. What would it be this time? So far there had been no repeats. Not a snake, a seal, a wolf, a trout or a lizard. So what would it be this time?

Midnight came and went with not so much as a hiccup. Was this horrid attack finally over? At 3AM, Viktoria could no longer stay awake to find out and fell asleep.

When she awakened to sunlight streaming in through her window, she moved over to get into it. It was odd to crawl so easily. People just weren't made to crawl on hands and knees. The bright warm sub felt strangely wonderful and satisfying. For once she felt really happy, far happier than she had any right to given her circumstances. A strange deep rumble filled the room. It stopped as she concentrated on it only to have it return when she relaxed.

She discovered it's source the second time it returned. She'd not bothered to check her form for some reason this time. Her human body ended at the waist. She had the hindquarters and tail of a cat! The deep rumble? Purring, of course. Well, she might as well be a cat as anything else, she decided. Eating, sleeping and lying in the sun. Viktoria found it a compelling idea.
