"Though the Valyrian steel blades still in the world might number in the thousands, there are only 227 remaining in Westeros according to Maester Thurgood's Inventories. And even then, many of these fabled weapons have been lost or disappeared from the annals of history."

This is the first part of my Valyrian Sword Project, where not only do I recreate the Canon Valyrian Steel blades, but invent new custom ones for the many houses of Westeros. I always found there to be a severe lack of these fabled weapons in the books, so I'm here to rectify it. Here you see 14 Valyrian blades (all swords or greatswords) from the Reach. Not eveyr powerful house in that region is represented here. Much to the contrary, some of the houses here are relatively minor. This is meant to convey that the history of these swords is turbulent and they often pass from family to family through combat and war, being refitted and renamed.

Next up I will be covering the North, and expect some very weird "blades".
