Description
My precious Inquisitor, Bartridge Trevelyan,
After his assault and his quickly aborted escape from the Circle of Magi, Bart was sent in solitary confinement for a few weeks (thanks to his father’s gold who spared him the Rite of Tranquility). Once out of his “prison”, his first reflex was to learn how to defend himself without using magic or any other weapon than his fists. Bart was terrified, traumatized, and his two aggressors were still working in the Circle. Because a lot of other apprentices and mages wanted to feel safer since the arrival of the new Knight Commander of the Templars, they set up a secret fighting club where they used to reunite as often as possible. Bart never missed a session, gaining slowly back his strength and the confidence the two templars took from him in the worst way possible, and in the year that followed he became the very muscular and sturdy man Dorian will meet a few years later.
Bart’s family saw the change in Bart’s body. Even though Bart never revealed the truth about what happened to him, his father knew someone beat him, forcing him to put his life in danger to run away from his attackers. Melamn Trevelyan was no mage but that never stopped him from teaching how to fight to his son. Sword, dagger, spear… Bart was eager to learn and on the rare occasions he came back home, he spent most of his time with his father in the court yard. The training made the son and his father become closer but it also increased Melamn’s fear to lose Bart for he knew his son wouldn’t hesitate to used his fighting skills at the first occasion.
