Dungeons and Dragons turns 40 today! One of the greatest rpg's ever and really could be argued the daddy of them all hits a milestone. Thanks to Bebe for coming over and being a Halfling for the pic.

When my brothers, my friends and I can all get back together we still play by the AD&D rules we've never updated and never will.

I haven't played in a very long time. Last I did, Second Edition was still fairly new, and we used our own custom rules that was a hybrid of 1st and 2nd Edition with our own customizations as well.

yeah we did pretty much the same by mixing AD&D 1st and 2nd Edition rules into a house rules system. Good memories.
