★ TUMBLR | TWITTER | INSTAGRAM | STORE | FACEBOOK ★Decided to draw more of Young Avengers. This time it's Kate Bishop, a.k.a. Hawkeye.
I drew her Asian and then I covered her face with the sunglasses so you can't actually tell anymore lol, but I want you to know my intention haha

AWW this is so badass! I always thought of Bishop as Asian too and you can totally tell she looks Asian in this picture. You said you based her of Li Bingbing and IU in a previous comment and I totally see it. She looks like has IU's brows, nose and bone structure, and Li Bingbing's lips. is right too- I could totally see this version of Kate belting out Run Devil Run. She fits right in. 
Great work by the way. I've been working with this color scheme, but with white instead of black and a seafoam green accent, and GOSH it's amazing how you got the skin tones to work with it. I love how the oranges and violets in the skin play off the background- you used both an analogous color and a complementary color to the background and IT WORKS SO WELL. The reflection in the sunglasses makes the piece come to life, and the drawing is so sharp and detailed- bravo! <3

Yep, the first comics I read that featured Kate were the Hawkeye series by Matt Fraction and David Aja's art instantly made me think of her as Asian
