I don't fully understand the situation going on here but I must say that it looks adorable in a way, it looks like Thunder is caring for him, something I wouldn't have expected to see from him. Although even evil pones can have a soft side. Marvelous work, my friend.

Well, everypony has a soft side I suppose. And Thunder is not entirely evil, nor is he good. He is placed somewhere between those two and parallel to them.
And I would expect from you to do some stalking in the comments area, after all it is what we do, isn't it? There you can find all the explanation that is needed.

Yes, that may be misleading and that will seal his fate. There is much more to him than meets the eye, at least that's my idea for him.
And I actually thought you will say that Misty does not have such side, but now I see it is more true than I imagined.

I had read her journal about it and it was heart breaking to read but although there wasn't much you could do, you certainly brightened it up for her which I'm sure it was the most you could do

Yeah, I suppose. Once the story is ready, or at least another part of it. Got to draw it first though and the next scene I want to draw is going to be time consuming for sure.
Not exactly seeing, just that you said that she has such a side. Wrong choice of words from my sidw I guess. That 300 watchers piece did not make her out of character, I think it actually fitted her well.
So it seems, although I got some other ideas as well. Important thing is she said it had cheered her up a bit.

I had been thinking about it for a while, I can sort of see her doing something like that because she is that kind pony that likes to toy, annoy or torment others but I just can't see a time where she would do that.

Thanks buddy, this piece actually took me three nights to be done and it was sparked by one event. I still think I was slow with it, but had my time limitations unfortunately. Anyway, thanks for thinking I spent a lot of time on it, kinda motivates me to go further.

O-oh my... that's quite the surprise right there! Why are the lights outside my window suddenly going brighter?...I like it.
This piece, it's so lovely, so sweet of you to draw this... I feel it is your way to bring some comfort in that whole Christmas situation that passed. 'Where time stands still'.. your clever placing of the corner in the wall, so similar to where I placed it in that Christmas vent drawing, it makes it feel as if you out of nowhere popped up there to solace me and... take me under your wing. Literally, even. Theres an incredible sense of tranquility in there. After all.. time stands still; theres no need to hurry.. I could snuggle up to you all I want because the clock stopped ticking anyways. I love Thunder's expression, incredibly protective and seriously meaning it, too. I can almost hear him saying that anyone who dares to come closer will personally get their head torn off. Wings great and glorious, and those manes and tails... I smiled. You easily surpass me in drawing those realistically like that. Especially Thunder's mane caught my eye.. there's something fluffy about it, as if I could feel it, stroke it. Also, congrats on that; Thunder's mane is one that is terribly hard to draw in front view, and there you go with your skills, making it look so professional.
God, I nearly shed a tear looking at this. It's so fucking awesome! I also really like that size difference you did between Thunder and Blood. It gives the picture something so adorable....

I only wish that I could have been there in person, or at least draw faster, but it took me three nights to have it done. I wanted to comfort you, to take some of the sadness of you, that vent drawing was a bit heartbreaking. But still, I was late and what was done is done.
You read the picture perfectly, with the wing, with the corner, with Thunder's expression, with that tranquility around them. I'm glad that it was so clear for you. Where the time stands still, that has a second bottom, the moment I started to sketch that scene I didn't think of any music, but eventually I just played Metallica's "Sanitarium" more on an instinct than on will. It somehow struck me how much it fits, I have known that song for ages now, one of my most favourites, and it carried me through so many situations where I could not find understanding, it was like this song understands me. And it moved to shadows to stay there for years and to resurface just now. The title is the very first verse of it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WElvEZ⦠. You are right that it's like the clock stopped, like Thunder just appeared there and froze the passage of time with his moonlit eyes, putting his wing around Blood. At least that is what I wanted it to look like, to keep this moment forever, where nothing else exists. Sweet escapism.
Thank you deary for complementing on the technique, seems that I grow better with manes & tails, but I wouldn't say that I surpass you in that field. You are right though that Thunder's mane from up front is a real pain, I had to drop few ideas for pictures in the past because I wasn't able to draw it decently. But seeing you like it so much makes me glad I gave it a few tries now, as I felt that this pose is the best. Fluffy, I like how you put it.
Protective expression, this is so much what I meant, and again I am glad you read it this way. He will tear open the throat of anyone who dares to even look your way. One day it just might happen.
