yeah, I had a 28-200 xr tamron that totally sucked for IR. on the other hand, the 28-75/2.8 xr di seems all right.. you never know with the lenses until you try :/

My old Nikkor 18-70 is fantastic for IR.. but then i had to replace it for 17-50 because of the f/2.8.
