Personality:
Black Hat is a commanding lyte who enjoys ruling over others immensely. It gives him great pleasure to watch as others cower before him, unless it is his partner, Flug, or their daughter, Arian. He never shows his soft side to anyone else aside from them, appearing as frightening and evil to anyone else he meets. He is easily aggravated, and getting on his bad side can be fatal. His overall plan is to sell goods to other villains, so they can do the dirty work for him and get rid of pesky heroes.

Past:
He was hatched in the Lampery, and immediately began his reign of terror. He quickly gained his acquaintance with Flug after seeing the doctor's intellect shining through, and the pair of them spent pretty much every day plotting and creating machines, until one blew up on them and they were limited to everyday materials instead of metal. After a time, Black Hat realized he had feelings for Flug, and when he was about to confess, a roof collapsed on him under the weight of rain, damaging the skin around his eye and causing it to seize up when it healed. Fortunately, after he had recovered, he and Flug got together and ended up having a child after a long time of trying, and now have their own house.
