^^ Thank you! I'm really glad when I get comments like this, it means that I'm not drawing for nothing ^^'
This drawing actually has a funny story behind it. Last spring I left my ex for another person, and the ex wrote me a poem while listening to this song. Then I wrote a poem as an answer [link] , and decided to do an illustration for it (addressed to my sweetheart). So I listened to that music that inspired my ex and found out that it was inspiring for me as well.
Since the theme of the original poem and my answer was about a falling star, I just had no problems imagining a star falling while listening to this song ^^'
Good luck to you too! Can't wait to see your art too, my formidable rival! :3

Waaaaaahhhhh thank you!
I'm kind of like content with this drawing. I did it for my sweetheart, and it seems that the whole thing turned out a bit better than I expected.
Photo refs FTW :3

This is a really beautiful picture. I think it's the most beautiful out of all of them. The girl really glows...but the glow also gives you the idea of purity, lightness, and cleanness. That was genius, how you did the sky. It's so beautiful...all glittery with stars and clouds. That must have been extremely difficult to do, there's all this intricate shading. What I thought when I first saw it was "This is real art." And the designs for the planets: The planet closest to the viewer was really well done. those clouds are hugging that form, and the planet shines.
What's interesting is that the beam is shooting out into the sky, twisting the gargantuan clouds with it. It's like the picture is saying that this light...this other person...demands everything that the world can give, because it is the special world of the person reaching out. It's like this light has some profound significance. Wow...
Now, I think that this is the girl reaching out to the other "light," only because of the blue color (purity, calmness. but it can also be sadness, so...) and the general feel I get from this. And there's this beam coming out of a planet (reminds me of 3rd impact from End of Evangelion, haha). And there's this soft shading on the girl that I really love, it's like she's so fragile and soft.
What I'm thinking now is "How the heck did you start drawing this??!" because it's so complicated!!

Thank youuuuuu....omg i tried my best while drawing it, so many ppl gave me small pieces of advice...like Mom, a colleague (who is also an artist), Dad (who also draws), but i still had to figure it all out myself in the end.
Heh... the process of drawing space with a pencil was really...hmmm...challenging, i'd say. First, i sketched both planets and the girl's position. I drew the bigger planet, and then i started thinking about HOW THE HELL to draw the space.
Then i started crosshatching the background and i found an interesting thing: my crosshatching was not really even. In the places where it was intertwining, there were spots and patterns like those on the damascus steel. And i thought: OMG, THIS IS IT! and i started giving them deeper color and dimension. Then, i finished the second planet and looked at some reference pics. I noticed that the planets on those don't have clear contours where they shine. so i erased those andit started looking NICE.
The next stage was not rly easy...i was shading the bg, trying to make it as close to reality as possible. Then i made the stars (i used an eraser), and then i worked on the girl. Part of the bg was undone tho. Then i finished the space.
Lol, i was like "eyes scared, but hands working"
