Uh, yeah, it's exactly what it looks like. I made a gem OC. orz

I didn't think I'd like Steven Universe as a show, but I kind of actually like it. Pacing aside, I find myself pretty invested in the main cast of characters. I especially love the lore behind the Gems. Can't go wrong with magical alien gems who seem to also have a knack for tech. It's a really great idea and the show itself has an interesting overall plot. But man, it can get pretty dark and messed up as well.

Anyway, I was browsing gemsonas with T-S-Elio when I came up with this concept for a gem. I thought of a character that was speedy, sci-fi themed (to an extent), was also immature and who used skates as a weapon (since actual weapons are overrated). Ametrine has evolved from there. She's kind of ignorant as a character which leads to her immaturity. She rather play around and have fun than fight. But if she does fight, she has speed behind her and attacks mostly with powerful kicks. She's also highly likely to be electrokinetic. That said she can generate and manipulate electricity. Of course her gem is an ametrine (placed on her left ankle).

Ametrine is so fast that, comically, when she stops after a quick high speed run, her body has to "catch up". Her hair and arms have to come back into place. They otherwise function as though they're attached completely and not separated.

Ametrine pulls in a lot of references.

- Hairstyle inspired by the Jetsons (an old cartoon for those who don't know).
- Glasses are a reference to Kamina of Gurren Lagann.
- Lower legs are built like Megaman's (I went off an image of Megaman X as reference)
- Floaty hands are a reference to NiGHTS.
- Collar around her neck was sort of unintentionally inspired by Javik's armor in ME3.
- Ponytail being separated at the tip was taken from another of my OCs. Exel's AI form, specifically.

Ametrine is open for fusing with other gems. Just ask me if you want to fuse with her or not first.
