Peter Weller can really make an older, more grittier and violent Batman sound AWESOME. "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" is one of my favorite DC films.😄
What do you think was your favorite moment of Peter Weller as Batman?

Difficult to pick just one, as Weller pretty much nailed the part
of an older Batman coming out of retirement, and showing he isn't going to take it anymore.
Apart from famous "I'm the Surgeon" scene.
I suppose it was also Batman's dialogue during his fight against Superman.
As the battle was as much a philosophical debate, as a physical fight.
Such as:
"You say you answer to some kind of authority. They only want em dead
because I'm an embarrassment. That I can do what they can't. What kind of authority is that!?"
And, Batman's retort against Superman's excuse: "Tell me. WHO do they send after you?"
But, the best part was perhaps after Green Arrow shot Superman with the kryptonite arrow.
and, after Batman wailed on him like normal. he revealed that he didn't have to go easy on him.
But, he just wanted Superman to feel his own mortality
and, to always remember "The one man who BEAT you."
Part of Peter Weller's performance stemmed from his reputation as Robocop.
as Weller portrayed Batman as an old, retired cop who was fed up with the system.
And, decided to come back to clean up, and do what others have failed to do.
Bruce Wayne really can't just "retire". his Batman persona won't let him.
Which brings to mind another favorite part from the film/book.
how watching the news, and all the reports of death and violence just "reawakened" Batman within Bruce.
It resonates even today. If Bruce were to watch today's news report in our world,
Batman would also be stirred into action (perhaps even more brutal than on TDKR.)

I never watched "Robocop" but after watching basically Robocop in a bat costume, it must be a great movie with Peter Weller as one of the reasons of its success.
I also like Batman's strategic mind and fighting style as he knew his disadvantages against the Mutant Leader so he lead him to an environment where their speed is evenly with the mud slowing down the Mutant Leader. He also uses his fighting style to slow down the Leader and put him at a disadvantage himself. I like the "Rob and Don" moments in that fight as well.
I also like Batman's dialogue in his "final" fight against Superman. He does have a point when he retorts his opinion and view of the government. What has the government been doing in Batman's absence? Where were they when Gotham was being torn apart by "criminals worse as the Joker"?
Batman put an end to the Mutant gang (even though portions of the Mutants went off to form their own gangs but still, better they're gangs than an army), made a bunch of criminals and lethal vigilantes into his followers and helped Gotham when it needed help the most. Meanwhile, what has the government done? Besides letting the Mutant problems grow to proportional sizes, getting their mayor killed by the Muntant Leader AND letting their country fall into chaos after their nuke caused a blackout all over the US?
BUT... to be fair, I understand why the government wanted to do democracy first. They had good intentions yet they don't see it as well as Batman.
And WHO do they send after Superman? Doomsday? They might as well release every criminal they have after Batman than Doomsday, who cares as much about casualties as the Mutant Leader or Joker.
It just goes to show that sometimes, what is against the law isn't against doing the right thing and what needs to be done. That's why the government, whether they admit it or not, knows Batman does so much better than them, therefore, as Batman said, making the government look like an embarrassment compared to him.

Here is a good clip showing Robocop at his best: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cySKH…
As for the story, well. Robocop was an 80's movie about a police officer
who was brutally killed, but then rebuilt into a terminator-like machine by a corporation.
At first, he acted like a machine. but his human side gradually began to override his programming.
leading him to seek out the criminals who murdered him in the first place.
(For obvious reasons, THIS video is a must see as well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLjlno… )
