You and I are three quarters of the time at each other’s throats, and the other quarter trying to annoy the living daylights out of each other… but, you’re my friend. A really good friend.” he paused, and took one long breath,“You don’t have to tell me what’s wrong, but please remember: I’m here for you…don’t go running off into the Forbidden Forest by yourself. So, if you just want some target practice with someone, or just to give you a hug, then I’ll happily do both. Because… I hate you like this, all upset, crying and…alone…” He did not give her eye contact, but gazed into the cloudy grey sky of the Hogwarts grounds with a far-off look. And in the silence, Merida realised that Jack was right: they were like cat and dog, but she wouldn’t really have it any other way.

So, Hogwarts AU sketch, and some hurt/comfort. I have an idea of how this happened, but I hope to post something a little more on it (I’ll never get time to do that).

Rise of the Tangled Dragons is such a fun wee crossover, and quite frankly, these two are adorable together. In RoTG, I don’t have one specific OTP (the closest thing I have is Frostbite), and one of the major points of Brave is that she doesn’t want to be committed at the time of the movie, so I don’t ship her. But, these two are good together because the banter between them is just too much fun. Jarida needs more love!

(And yes, this has been up on Tumblr for at least two weeks, but I'm very lazy )
