Apparently he shined so bright, no one else really saw or took notice of him.

I'm very glad I still have a little bit of time to get some drawings down while school is here because I have Friday's off, until a few weeks that is. Luckily the next Newcomer made themselves known during this time, so I tried to get on that as quickly as time would allow me. Also, I'm glad my sister pointed this out to me but, the background color for each Newcomer is shown at the end of each reveal, so I was able to figure out the proper hue and everything-- though my guess was surprisingly close!

Anyhow, onto introducing this old face to everyone~ The next fellow to join the ranks of Smash Fighters is Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury!

If I had not be spoiled of the news last minute, I would have real screamed about him. While I have never played any games he appeared in personally, the King of Fighters titles are ones that are very close to my sister, and I had become acquainted with the guy from there. Terry's got one of those recognizable vibes on him as well, I can definitely understand how he was able to grab a spot on the roster.

After all, SNK games have a solid place in classic games, but I am not sure they are as highly-known as other series. Hence some people not knowing who Terry was, outside of a suspicion from a leaked namedrop. But that's alright, no one is able to know everything in the world, so we shouldn't beat each other so hard for that.

Anywho, seeing this guy after some long while got my sister nostalgic again, so she went to play KoF again and ended up hurting her fingers doing so. And on that note, my youngest brother is planning on forcing some of his friends to play the game as well, so they can get a taste of how the series is like.

As for me, I hardly have any time for anything right now, but I at least took my time in learning this big boy so I could do him the proper justice for this Challenge.

(After an entire year-plus of dealing with muscles, I should be able to handle him now, right?)

My only real issue with Terry was his cap, and so after scanning this lineart I did have to smush it down a bit because I realized I made it too high.

The rest of him was fairly easy to pick up, the hat being the only real source of any error I had for things like Terry's face looking different every time I drew him.

That aside, he's here, he's nice-looking, and ready to fill your ears with Engrish once November rolls in.

I never would've thought an SNK character would have a rep in Smash, but at this point anything really is possible. And now I have to be ready for not just one, but possible five extra people down the road. I do hope Mr. Sakurai continues to surprise us more, and get those breaks he truly deserves, of course. ( ^ -^)b
