Description I carved the clipper hull from a solid 12”x2”x2” rectangular basswood block. The completed hull is stained with Red Mahogany Danish Oil and finished with Shellac.

I hand-cut the sails from 1/16” basswood and formed to create the illusion of catching wind the sails. The sails are finished with natural Danish Oil. The rigging is completed using dark brown button thread and brass nails. The model also includes the hand-made display base finished with natural Danish Oil and Shellac.

The model measures approximately 12” high from base to main mast, 15” in length from bow sprit to stern, 3” wide.
