With infinitude, servitude, magnitude and solidarity
we cursed unsound buildings and watered down plants
and used rusted spoons to rebuild and drain.

We left soda cans scattered down streets
to hear footsteps crunch and echo fallen pennies
and saved yellowed photographs
to be dried over working furnaces.

With curiosity, simplicity and dependence
we picked through cracking oil while old
rain water saw the inside of our living rooms.
