Description I watch her everyday
From this door frame as she used to
Watch me.  She stopped paying
Attention and now goes on
Without recognition.

Now, she clutches the breast
Of the bird she stole from the blind
Old man next door-

Creaking:
     -Where are you?

Maybe she just caught him
Or is letting him go.

I can’t tell which

   -I am here
(He does not hear him.)

Down turned beak and upturned
Chest indented by the pressure of her fingers.

She keeps him head down.
He cannot see        the sky.

The wind from his clapping wings is too much.
She must look there for him.
