WIP shot. Clearly, the top half is mostly done while the bottom half is just in the rough forming stage. You can see the color of the steel as it starts (very shiny). By the time the multiple annealing stages are complete, you get the beautiful blue steel color.Related content

I agree totally. I thought the same thing when I was taking the photographs...it was something that I never saw while I was working on it. That almost makes me want to rethink how i was planning to finish the legs...actually sculpt the legs as though she's nude, or sculpt it so that the legs just disolve into this larger, dress-like form...The first is more literal obviously, but the other more dress-like idea may be more beautiful.
