Description It was my day to draw a male character (I'm trying to alternate between male and female characters each time I draw so I don't keep drawing the same stuff X3) and I thought of the great idea to draw Roy, my favoritest of favorite characters from Smash Bros. I've been a secret Roy fangirl for the past...decade...or so (omg o.o) and I finally got to cosplay him at the last DragonCon, although the result could've and should have been so much better >< I love his personality in the GBA game and I like his design more in that game also. Anyway, I don't think this pic looks like him too much; his hair needs to be more fluffy/spikey but ah well. At least I got to experiment some more with PhotoShop and coloring. I wanted to draw his sword in too, but I didn't know how to make it fit, so that'll be for next time~. I LOVE ROY. He doesn't get enough love compared to all the other Fire Emblem heroes :I

Roy is my favorite character from SSBM. It sucks he wasn't put in Brawl.
You're right, he doesn't get enough attention.

Thanks a lot! Glad to see some more Roy fans~! I think a lot of people liked him in Melee but then he got forgotten because of Brawl... ;A;

I agree with you. I think that a lot of people did like him. I know a few, myself inlcuded, that were mad that they got rid of him in Brawl. They could've left Roy in and took a few of the other characters out.

Yeah, I wish they kept him. But at least it made sense to me once I realized that they kept Marth and added Ike since he was the newest hero in the Fire Emblem series at the time Brawl came out, which was the same reaason why Roy was included in Melee. So after that I wasn't so angry but... I STILL MISS HIM TAT

Well, I see what you mean. I didn't know that. Hahaha. So, yeah, now that I know that I'm not so mad, but still, he was my favorite character in Melee. Hahaha. I'm not sure who my favorite character is in Brawl. Haha.

Yeah Roy will always be my fave!!! I use Marth in his place in Brawl along with Ness and Fox and sometimes Pikachu, but I can't seem to pick a fave either!

I dunno, it's just not quite the Roy I would've liked to draw :/ But I'll get better and draw a better one one day I just love the way all the characters look in the GBA game, the designs are so amazingly beautiful ;w;

But yes. ROY FANGIRLS UNITE!!! There's gotta be more out there...

The Fire Emblem games are a little old, aren't they? It's hard to find fans of a certain series that's older. And then theres the fact that Roy wasn't put on Brawl, the newest Smash game, so he doesn't get much recognition.
When you cosplayed as him, did a lot of ppl recognize you and stop you for pictures?

Yea I know. Needless to say, I was pretty upset when I found out he wasn't gonna be in Brawl. But it makes sense why, so I got over it. ...;~;

Some people actually recognized me, a lot knew I was from Fire Emblem, but they couldn't figure out who, and a lot of them thought I was Ike or Marth (more so Ike). And then there were the people that thought I was Elliwood XD but it was cool, since the people that did recognize me were happy to see a Roy and I was happy too lol X3

How do they get Ike, Marth, and Elliwood confused with ROY?! For Pete's Sake. And isn't Elliwood Roy's dad or something? He kinda looks like Roy, just a little bit.

Yah Elliwood is Roy's dad. I understand though, since that game was released here but not the Roy one. I had to argue with my friend though who said Ike looks like Roy I mean, their colors are similar, but their red and blue are like reversed! >.< But this guys said "I fight for my friends" as he walked by me, I thought that was funny, since I always laugh when Ike says that lol XD

Lol yeah what's the deal with that? I like it when he says stuff like "Prepare yourself" and things along that line. It just sounds more epic. You wouldn't expect Ike to say something like that
