Mia,
So many wonderful photos in your gallery, wasn't sure which to 'favorite' so I simply chose a recent self portrait. 'The Woods' is maybe my actual favorite self shot. That's probably due to the (rare) smile or more candid nature of the photo.
I'm fond of most young women's (competently executed) self portraiture. Admittedly, for the pedestrian or shallow reasons. That being, I'm an artist and a male and I simply enjoy images of beautiful gals.
But I'll add, while photo caches of attractive women are too common these days, your gallery transcends most I've seen.
You have a knack for conveying emotion and the interesting, individual (as well as beautiful) features which your parents and nature have afforded you. Wish you lived nearer and we were acquainted. It would be wonderful to paint a portrait of you.
I'm fond of your nature photographs also. They embody that same 'lack of ordinariness' you achieve with the self portraiture. The 'Fog' piece I find wonderful in particular. Indeed many of your scenic and landscape works remind me of the texture and topography around here. Maybe a factor in why many of Norwegian heritage settled the region of Minnesota I call home.
Just returned from a sunrise drive today to capture the astoundingly dense fog which engulfed the entire region around here. There's nothing quite like it. The obscurity and nature of surrounding light sometimes distills the normal down to the truly extraordinary. Not unlike your self portraits revealing emotion and feeling despite your obvious beauty. While I don't consider myself a photographer, images I capture often inspire my paintings.
Just wanted to wish you well and thank you for sharing your work, which I hope you'll continue to explore and share.

Love your title, Mia, as you have captured both strength (bone) and vulnerability (flesh) in your portrait here. The light is beautiful as it falls across your eyes, and picks up the reds in your hair.
The color in your eyes really stands out, since the rest of the image is full of warm reds and browns. It really draws the viewer to your (amazingly beautiful) eyes!
