Yeah, I was just talking about that to someone. I feel like I played a practical joke on her.

This is reminiscent of Arthurian and other old tales, where adventure often involved other-worldly encounters at lakes or ponds; like the others in your gallery this also shows you've got great flare in presenting things in a simple yet compelling style. Cheers!

Wow, thanks! Maybe I should read some Mary Stewart. She's got a trilogy out about King Arthur. Oh, wrong, five books on the topic. Could be worthwhile.

This is an interesting concept. Just imagine walking down a trail and finding this in the pond...very curious.

I keep thinking about this Russian peasant woman, going about her business, getting a jug of water when she has this WTF moment. It strikes me funny. Her expression is... maybe I'm too silly. She looks almost mad - like someone's playing a prank on her. Seems I'm the only one who sees it that way.

Haha! Now that I pay more attention, her expression really does look like she's mad!

An extra-ordinary sight to behold. What is this large mechanical hand, and what lies at the depths of the pond itself?Β Β
A deviation of great imagination such as this one definitely is worthy of a Daily Deviation.Β Β

Wow. I'm entirely not used to praise like that. Thanks! Funny, I didn't think about what else might be in that water.

I like how this is both painterly/impressionistic, yet smooth and sleek. Β Such a soft sheen on the metal... and the robot has a fingernail. Β That's awesome. Β The entire scene evokes such a sense of mystery. Β Is this modern times in just some backwood, dark European forest? Β Is this the past? Β A lady and her dog encounter a completely alien thing. Β

Fingernail... I've been thinking about robots and how closely they might mimic human kind. Imagine all the humans have died off and all that's left are their machines. Machines that make and maintain machines. But they want to carry on they way it's always been. They have fashion shows and walk robot dogs and try to get tattoos - without any sense why. It's just the way it's done. Anyway, that has been in the back of my mind for a while. Robots trying to be human. They all have fingernails.

I with you on that. I like art that inspire different stories. I don't know if I can always pull it off though.

You never know, someone might get an idea for a book out of it. (And if they do I know where they can buy an illustration for the cover!) So you might have more to go on later.
