Description I could use some help with this one. This is a Celtic long sword that I am working on. The blade is from a Kit Rae sword that I picked up in a pawn shop. The furniture is from a Celtic sword I got from budk.com. The handle is of my own make. I need some opinions on whether or not I need to etch the brass with knotwork. I can't make up my mind. I've been told that I sometimes I make things too busy. If anyone has an opinion I would appreciate hearing it. Many thanks for the help.

Make the knotwork subtle and not to rough.

'tis a thing of beauty, I don't think it needs anything else, but listen to your heart, for you'll surely find the answer there!

Not harshly, but as a point of purity, get rid of the Bud K, stuff, and make a true anthromophic gaulic handle. Just will be more accurate, and in the end, something you can be more proud of.

it looks perfect just the way it is. people say art work is never finished, but sometimes art work is best unfinished.
i do a little sword crafting myself. i love budk. thats where i get most of my blades from.

Thanks for the input. You're probably right. I don't know what to do with it anyways. It took me a week to figure out how to carve the handle. Sometimes I just get carvers block. So you wouldn't do anything to it? I thought of maybe fists on the crossbar and pommel and maybe the pommel ball into a head. Something traditional, but I can't make up my mind. I appreciate the input. Ever opinion helps.
