Description I use mostly brush pens to ink with since I like the smoothness and variety in line you can get with them. This is especially good for drawing girls and organic stuff in general. I try new markers all the time and the best spot I have found on line to get them is Β Jetpens.com.

Tones are copic cool gray markers. White highlights are put in with white gouache paint. White primacolor pencils work okay for this as well, but they tend to look a bit grainy to me.

Beautiful work. You have a serious talent, and it's obvious you've worked hard to develop your talent. Great job.

The short haircut is an unusual choice for a beautiful female hero or villain. Β But I think it works really well in this image.

thanks, I saw a post by Skottie Young this week that basically said that working hard on drawing is really the only 'trick' to learning and getting better....as much as we'd all like to think we could jump ahead without the blood and sweat there is no fast lane

Have you noticed that white prisma color goes yellow after a while?Β  I started using more white paint because I looked back on my old stuff and it was YELLOW!Β  I was surprised.Β

never noticed the yellowing prismacolor thing. I have found that sometimes my white painted details have a yellow cast to them under some flourescent convention lights and are bright pure white in my studio though

I think I figured it out.Β  I've been keeping my originals in one of those Itoya Profolio Black folders.Β  That is where I noticed the yellowing.Β  I pulled some old art out that was just stored in the closet and no yellowing.Β  I'm thinking the plastic did it.Β  It was the plastic in the portfolio with the chemicals...
At any rate, I'm trying to avoid using white colored pencil, but I'm not that great with paint yet.Β  I'm using Winsor & Newton Zinc white and permanent white paint...designers gouache is what the tube says.
