Description
These bizarre scaleless dragons seem to be fey in origin, and can be found all over Vox, wherever there are deep forests, dense bogs, or remote shorelines. Goblin dragons are not inherently evil but do tend to act on selfish impulses, especially if it means acquiring more treasure. “Treasure” is a subjective term - their hoards have less value than those of a similarly-sized dragon due to their tendency to collect shiny rocks, pieces of glass, and interesting bones or feathers, rather than objects of actual value. They defend these prizes no less vigorously than any other dragon defends its hoard, though this behaviour means they can often be negotiated with. Trading a rock with a well-preserved fossil in it for a useful but plain-looking magic item is a tactic that has worked before.
Goblin dragons have gangly, disproportionate features even as mature dragons, with large ear fans, wide mouths, huge yellow eyes, and a rubbery greenish hide that looks like it’s constantly trying to slip off. They do not “breathe” fire so much as belch it erruptively, and even other dragons find them coarse and ill-mannered. Goblins, by contrast, think they’re great.
