Description
A peridot dragon, a gem dragon only uncommonly observed on the Elemental Plane of Earth. Although this is their native plane, a high number of peridots spent part or all of their life cycle on the Prime. The reason for this is because they feel a deep connection to the wild, forested placed of thr world, and long for them. Since there are no plants on their native plane, many strive to relocate greenery to their lairs, in special chambers lit by magical sunlight and climate controlled with weather spells. Others simply take extended holidays, or keep their lairs on the Prime. This brings them into direct conflict with green dragons, although smaller the peridots have the advantage with their array of psionic abilities. Friendly and good-natured, peridot dragons are among the most personable of the draconic races.

Peridot dragons can be easily confused with green and emerald dragons. Greens have a magnificent dorsal crest and have a decidedly crocodilian appearance, appearing as legged, winged snakes from the air. Periodts have clearly visible ear frills when viewed from below. Emerald dragons are overall smaller, lither and have darker scales than Periots, also posessing small, backwards-curving horns which peridots lack.
