Description
I decided to take a break from the frozen north and head south for warmer climes to continue my ongoing research. Hawaii conatains both a wealth of rare and very obseravable fairies and has agreeable temperatures. Whilst visiting Mona Loa, I was treated to the rare and terrfiying spectacle, a lava dragon! This fearsome saurian was at least fifty feet from snout to rump, twice that with its whiplike tail. As I watched the eruption of the volcano, it slid down the cone on its belly, like a child on a waterslide. Lava dragons have an extremely high internal body temperature, making heat rise off of them in shimmering waves, and as such are very hard to look at for any length of time. Not that staring at a huge and ancient lizard is such a good idea in the first place. more than one serpentologist has learned the hard way that if your camera is in range, so are you.
