This is completely badass. I can recognize some of the parts if I look closely, but they're integrated into the overall design really well. The roping and the filigree are both great touches. It just screams Steampunk.

Yes it's great isn't it? I have enjoyed it since I was a kid. Back then, they just called it Victorian Sci-Fi ala H.G. Wells or Jules Verne. A new name, for a new generation I guess.

This one shall always be awesome! It rocks some socks.

All the little gauges give it a very quirky feel, but I do so love the little knob that looks like it came off of a garden hose. XD

Some sprinklers were harmed during the creation of this project....

this is an intricate and crafty design!!!
what are the chances that this is not simply a costume, and that this would conceivably carry a body across a given amount of distance?
thanks for sharing~~~

They've made some compressed air-powered jet packs before...with a limited flight time. I'm sure steam would be possible...but do you really want that amount of boiling water on your back?

Btw, awesome pack Otto!

one way or another there's gonna be something abnormally hot on the backside and the risk of strapping one's self into one of these would be extreme regardless....i'd just like to fly~~~

thank you for sharing the information....
i'm gonna get on researching these packs!!!

and yes otto your design is top notch!!!

thanx for sharing
