I agree. The scan doesn't this artist justice. The colors become too bright for the atmosphere he so geniusly creates and here you can see how smooth everything is but the full size scans makes some lines (like in her hair) seem too harsh

What kind of surface is it? illustration board maybe?
and if so, do the workable fixatif and acrylics seal the surface from the oils?
if not, it'll rot. Which I'm sure is NOT new info to you.
just wondering about the permanence of the piece. I love working with mixed media myself, but I always wonder about the compatibility of mediums.
