I made no attempt to pretty up this photo. It's just a shot I took in my studio of some clear medium I had swirled black paint into. I knew it would dry completely differently so I grabbed a quick shot of it as it was.There's something monstrous and oily about it. It's also an example of how the splattered by-products of art can be just as beautiful (if not often more beautiful) than the finished pieces.

Going to sound pretty odd but, I love the pallet on this colour wise.
Do you think you could do something like this again covering pretty much a whole canvas with little white showing for a commission perhaps? I don't know why but I just am so drawn to this. The colours seem so soothing yet in some way savage.
At any rate, I wasn't thinking too horribly big. 8"x11" or so would be good enough. Either that or a 9"x5" or so. Inbetween sizes but I could still put in a frame.

Was this just acrylics layering one on top of one another that you mixed around, or was there actual oils in it too?

Totally just a couple dark shades of acrylic swirled into clear medium. I don't work with oils anymore because they're such a pain in the ass to use, and tend to give off more vapors.
