But Cedric was a goodass Hufflepuff, not a badass. Not everyone who is strong and talented needs to be mean and nasty as well. For another example, see Neville Longbottom, one of the few goodass Gryffindors.

As well as every house includes badass, whiny, fearless or friendly people. Also I think it's only natural that every person can act in any way depending on the situation. Everyone can be sad or happy or mean or nice. And I personally like to picture every possible emotion a person can have. Especially if it's a special expression for that person.
